We have two events in October that may be of interest to you:
Firstly, on Thursday October 10th, best-selling author Michael Smith will deliver a lecture on Tom Crean. You may remember that he gave a lecture last October on Munster's Antarctic Explorers, which many people missed due to a very bad storm and flooding that occurred on the night. Hopefully, this October we won't have a repeat of that severe weather event and you will have the opportunity to enjoy what promises to be an excellent presentation on his return visit.
Secondly, on Saturday October 19th, we will have a whole day celebration of West Cork Flax, which will include interactive talks, flax displays and heritage skills demonstrations, coordinated by Flax enthusiast Kathy Kirwan. Again, you may remember that she gave an excellent talk on West Cork Flax last April, which was highly interesting and informative.
More detail on both events to follow shortly - save the dates!
